The X-BOW FMA Supersonic Basic is an exceptionally compact compound crossbow combining substantial performance with an extremely small and lightweight platform. At only approximately 16.5 inches long, 2.47 lbs in weight and just 5 inches axle-to-axle when cocked, it is one of the most compact true compound platforms in our range.
Despite its dimensions, the Supersonic has a 120 lbs draw weight and can achieve speeds of up to 330 FPS, depending on the bolt used. Its integrated cable and lever cocking system also substantially reduces the force the shooter actually needs to apply while cocking.
The Supersonic Basic is all about maximum compactness and minimum weight without giving up true compound performance. At only 16.5 inches and 2.47 lbs it is substantially smaller and lighter than a conventional full-size crossbow. The Basic deliberately has no shoulder stock; choose the Supersonic XL if additional shoulder support and stability are more important.
The Supersonic uses a 120 lbs compound system with a 7 inch power stroke. Actual bolt velocity depends significantly on the type and weight of Supersonic bolt used.
A lighter bolt can therefore achieve a higher velocity, while a heavier bolt has different characteristics. Do not choose bolts on FPS alone: always use the correct bolt type for the intended application and only bolts explicitly suitable for the Supersonic.
Compactness is the defining feature of the Supersonic Basic. Overall length is approximately 16.5 inches / 42 cm and weight only around 2.47 lbs / 1.12 kg.
The compound front end measures approximately 5 inches / 12.7 cm axle-to-axle when cocked and 7.9 inches / 20.1 cm uncocked. With no shoulder stock, the Basic is the most minimalist Supersonic configuration.
The Supersonic uses an integrated cable and lever cocking system. Pulling the rear handle mechanically draws the string into the cocked position, eliminating the need to attach a separate rope cocking aid for each shot.
Although the compound system has a 120 lbs draw weight, the actual cocking force is approximately 31 lbs. This is one of the key practical advantages of the Supersonic platform.
An adjustable front grip provides a controlled support position for the forward hand. The Supersonic also features a 19 mm mounting rail for a compatible red dot or other suitable aiming device.
Choose the Supersonic Basic when minimum size and weight are the priorities. The Supersonic XL adds an adjustable shoulder stock, providing more defined shoulder contact and additional stability. Both share the same basic 120 lbs Supersonic concept; the main choice is maximum compactness versus additional shooting comfort and stability.
