STRONGBOW Tactical Shooter – compact folding recurve bow for outdoor and recreational use

The STRONGBOW Tactical Shooter is a distinctive 58-inch recurve bow featuring a folding design. Its limbs fold inward, reducing the overall length to approximately 61 cm for transport and storage. This makes it considerably more compact than a conventional full-size recurve bow.

When unfolded, the Tactical Shooter measures 58 inches / approximately 147 cm and delivers a 35 lbs draw weight.

This makes it significantly more powerful than lightweight youth and beginner bows. It is primarily aimed at adult recreational archers who have sufficient strength to comfortably control a 35 lbs bow.

Compact and easy to transport

The main advantage of this model is its compact folded size.

When folded, the bow measures approximately:

• length: 61 cm
• width: 7 cm
• height: 4.2 cm

At around 780 g, it is also relatively lightweight. The included carry bag with shoulder strap makes it easy to transport to a shooting location, on holiday or during other outdoor activities.

Aluminium riser and fibreglass limbs

The riser is made from anodised aluminium, providing a rigid and durable platform.

The limbs are manufactured from fibreglass composite and generate a fixed draw weight of approximately 35 lbs. The uncomplicated construction fits the portable outdoor concept of the bow particularly well.

Ambidextrous – suitable for left- and right-handed archers

The riser is designed for ambidextrous use, allowing both left- and right-handed archers to shoot the same bow.

This is also practical when the bow is shared by several users.

Recommended arrows
For the Tactical Shooter, we recommend the Avalon Hybrid Carbon arrows. Spine 600 (31") is the best choice for most adult archers. For archers with a shorter draw length, spine 800 (30") may be a better fit.

Who is the Tactical Shooter designed for?

The Tactical Shooter is particularly interesting for anyone looking for a compact adult recurve bow that is easy to transport.

Its primary advantage is not that it is inherently more accurate or powerful than a conventional recurve bow, but that it can be folded into a very compact package after use.

This makes it suitable for:

• recreational archery
• outdoor and holiday use
• users with limited storage space
• archers who regularly transport their equipment
• both left- and right-handed archers

Archers who mainly want to progress into technical target recurve shooting with a sight, pressure button, stabilisers and interchangeable limbs will generally be better served by a conventional take-down recurve bow.

Not a lightweight beginner bow

At 35 lbs draw weight, the Tactical Shooter is not a particularly light entry-level bow.

For someone with no previous archery experience or limited upper-body strength, 35 lbs may be too heavy for learning proper shooting technique.

The Tactical Shooter is therefore better suited to adult recreational archers with adequate strength or some previous archery experience.

Safe use

A 35 lbs bow is genuine sporting equipment and, with suitable arrows, can cause serious injury.

Always shoot towards an appropriate archery target with sufficient clear and safe space around and behind it. Inspect the bow, string and arrows regularly and do not use damaged equipment.
