Your specialist in bows and crossbows
The Rinehart Badger Bag is a robust bag target that we primarily recommend for compound bows and other vertical bows. Its generous shooting surface, durable construction and two differently designed shootable sides make the Badger particularly suitable for regular practice in the garden or at the range.
Rinehart combines a durable polypropylene outer cover with a waterproof barrier and a robust burlap stopping core. This construction is designed to provide effective arrow stopping performance and a long practical service life. The integrated carrying handle and hanging grommets also make the target easy to move or suspend.
Key features
Primarily for compound bows – also suitable for crossbows
We deliberately position the Badger Bag primarily as a compound bow target. Its generous shooting surface and robust bag construction make it an attractive choice for archers who regularly practise with a compound bow.
Crossbow use is also possible, but Rinehart does not specify a maximum FPS rating for the Badger Bag. We therefore deliberately do not assign our own maximum FPS figure to this target. Rinehart does provide such ratings for dedicated crossbow targets; for example, the X-Bow Bag is specifically rated up to 450 FPS.
Actual arrow penetration also depends on more than bow power or arrow speed alone. Arrow weight and diameter, point type, shooting distance and target condition can all influence stopping performance.
Are you using a powerful compound bow or crossbow, or unsure which target best suits your setup? See our Target Selection Guide. It explains in more detail which factors influence stopping performance and how to select the right target.
The Rinehart Badger Bag is particularly suitable if you are looking for a robust and well-finished premium bag target primarily for compound and vertical bow use, with a generous shooting surface and the option of occasional use with suitable crossbow setups.
