The Oak Ridge Dyneema D97 60"/14 is a black replacement bowstring for compatible 60" recurve and hybrid bows. This version features 14 strands and BCY 62X serving.

This string is suitable and recommended as a replacement for the Oak Ridge Mongo Hybrid Bow 60" and the Buck Trail Metis Hybrid Bow 60". It is a practical choice when the original string needs replacing or when you want to keep a spare string available.

Key Features

• Dyneema D97: strong synthetic bowstring material with low stretch.
• 60"/14: designed for compatible 60" bows, with 14 strands.
• BCY 62X serving: features a protective serving for regular use.
• Black finish: complements both classic and modern traditional bows.
• Confirmed compatibility: suitable for the Oak Ridge Mongo 60" and Buck Trail Metis 60".

Suitable for the Oak Ridge Mongo and Buck Trail Metis

Both the Oak Ridge Mongo and Buck Trail Metis are 60" ambidextrous hybrid bows.

This Oak Ridge D97 string in the 60"/14 configuration is suitable for both models. It can therefore be used to replace a worn or damaged original string.

Keeping a compatible spare string is also useful for archers who practise regularly or take their bow to a club or training venue.

Dyneema D97 with BCY 62X Serving

Dyneema D97 is a strong synthetic material used in high-quality bowstrings. Its low-stretch properties help provide consistent energy transfer.

The BCY 62X serving protects the wrapped section of the string against wear during normal use and contact with the relevant parts of the bow.

Choosing the Correct Replacement String

The 60" designation identifies this string version. Not every 60" bow automatically uses the same string.

Always check that the material, size and strand count are appropriate for your particular bow. This version is suitable for the Oak Ridge Mongo 60" and Buck Trail Metis 60".

After fitting a new string, check the brace height against your bow manufacturer's recommendations. Inspect the string regularly and replace it if signs of damage or excessive wear become visible.
