MANDARIN DUCK Black Panther – compact recurve bow for older juniors and beginners

The MANDARIN DUCK Black Panther is a compact 52-inch recurve bow designed for older juniors and recreational beginners. With a draw weight of approximately 20 to 28 lbs depending on draw length, it provides a clear step up from lightweight children's and junior bows.

The Black Panther combines a 15-inch wooden riser with durable fibreglass limbs. The set includes 5 long 30.5-inch carbon arrows and 5 paper target faces, providing a practical basic package for getting started.

For older juniors and beginners

The combination of its compact 52" length and approximately 20–28 lbs draw weight makes the Black Panther particularly suitable for older juniors and beginners with sufficient strength.

As a practical guideline, we recommend it for approximately 12 to 16 years of age. Age alone, however, does not determine whether a bow is suitable. The archer's build, strength and draw length are equally important.

For younger or less powerful children, a lighter junior bow will generally be easier and more comfortable to shoot.

The Black Panther is particularly interesting for young archers who have outgrown a lightweight children's bow and are looking for a stronger, more serious recurve bow without immediately moving to a larger adult beginner bow.

Wooden riser and removable limbs

The Black Panther consists of a wooden riser and two separate fibreglass limbs. The limbs are attached to the riser and the bow can therefore be disassembled for easier storage and transport.

The wooden riser gives the bow a solid appearance and feel, while the fibreglass limbs provide a strong and low-maintenance construction.

A simple synthetic-fur arrow rest complements the uncomplicated recreational design.

Approximately 20–28 lbs draw weight

Actual draw weight depends on how far the bow is drawn. The Black Panther therefore provides approximately 20–28 lbs depending on the archer's draw length.

This makes it noticeably more powerful than many children's and lightweight junior bows. Younger beginners will generally benefit from a lighter bow, while the Black Panther provides a useful next step for older juniors looking for more power.

Right-handed only

The Black Panther is designed exclusively for right-handed shooting.

A right-handed archer holds the bow in the left hand and draws the string with the right hand. The riser and arrow rest are designed accordingly.

Includes 5 carbon arrows

The starter set includes 5 × 30.5-inch carbon arrows fitted with metal field points. Their generous length suits the range of draw lengths for which the Black Panther is intended.

Five paper target faces are also included.

An archery target is not included. A suitable archery target is required for safely stopping the supplied carbon arrows.

Please note: this is a real archery bow

The Black Panther is not a toy. Its 20–28 lbs draw weight combined with carbon arrows fitted with metal points can cause serious injury.

Always shoot towards a suitable archery target with sufficient safe space around and behind it. Junior archers should always shoot under adult supervision.

Regularly inspect carbon arrows for damage and never shoot a damaged carbon arrow.
