Pre-order: the new Man Kung Sobek stock is expected to become available in early November. We expect to dispatch pre-orders during the first half of November. Please note that this timeframe is an estimate and may change due to shipping and import procedures.
The Man Kung Sobek TCS3 Black is a compact 80 lbs repeater crossbow with a 7-shot magazine. After every shot, the Sobek is re-cocked using the integrated lever in the adjustable shoulder stock. During this movement, the next bolt is automatically fed from the magazine. This eliminates the need to manually place a new bolt on the rail after every shot.
With speeds up to approximately 185 FPS / 56 m/s, the Sobek combines the compact character of a pistol crossbow with the fast shooting cycle of a magazine-fed system. The adjustable shoulder stock provides support while aiming and simultaneously forms part of the integrated lever cocking system.
The Sobek is also commonly described and searched for as a semi-automatic crossbow, automatic crossbow, semi-automatic pistol crossbow or automatic pistol crossbow. Technically, repeater crossbow is the more accurate description: after every shot you manually operate the cocking lever, while the magazine automatically feeds the next bolt during this movement.
Load the magazine with up to 7 original Man Kung MK-AL10 Sobek bolts and there is no need to manually load an individual bolt between every shot. Operate the stock lever to re-cock the string while the magazine simultaneously and automatically feeds the next bolt. This creates a considerably faster and smoother shooting rhythm than a traditional single-shot pistol crossbow.
The magazine and cocking system work together. After firing, operate the stock lever to re-cock the string. During this movement, the next bolt is automatically transferred from the magazine into the firing position. Once the cocking movement is complete, the Sobek is ready for the next shot. You therefore do not have to manually place a new bolt after every shot.
The Sobek combines characteristics of a compact pistol crossbow with a shoulder stock with the functionality of a magazine-fed crossbow. A traditional pistol crossbow requires each bolt to be loaded separately. On the Sobek, this step is integrated into the cocking movement. For its size and price class, this provides a particularly interesting combination of compact dimensions, ease of use and fast follow-up shots.
The adjustable shoulder stock serves two purposes. It provides additional support and stability while aiming, while the same assembly is used as a lever to re-cock the crossbow. The cocking system therefore remains permanently attached to the Sobek and no separate cocking aid is required during normal use.
The Sobek features 20 mm Picatinny rails for mounting compatible optics and accessories. This allows the crossbow to be configured with equipment such as a suitable red dot. The removable foregrip provides additional control and a clearly defined position for the forward hand.
The TCS3 7-shot magazine is specifically designed for Man Kung MK-AL10 6.5 inch aluminium Sobek bolts with a 6 mm diameter. Only these original bolts should be used with the Sobek.
Other 6.5 inch pistol crossbow bolts are not automatically compatible, even when their length or diameter appears similar. Reliable magazine operation also depends on the specific construction and geometry of the bolt.
