EK Archery JAG 1 Standard | 150 lbs Recurve Crossbow

The EK Archery JAG 1 Standard 150 lbs is an affordable and complete entry model in the full-size recurve crossbow category. Its traditional recurve construction is mechanically straightforward and combines a 150 lbs draw weight with a speed of up to 210 FPS with a 350 grain bolt.

The JAG 1 is particularly attractive if you want a traditional full-size crossbow without the more complex cam and cable system of a compound crossbow. The Standard version already comes complete with bolts, a cocking rope, adjustable sight, safety glasses and lube wax.

Traditional and straightforward recurve design

The JAG 1 uses a traditional recurve design without cams and cables, keeping its drive system relatively simple and straightforward. With a 10 inch power stroke, the 150 lbs version reaches up to 210 FPS with a 350 grain bolt.

This combination of straightforward technology, full-size dimensions and an accessible price makes the JAG 1 Standard a logical first step into full-size recurve crossbows. Replacement parts such as strings and limbs are also available for the JAG 1 platform.

150 lbs: a deliberate entry-level choice

More draw weight does not automatically mean a better crossbow. The JAG 1 Standard 150 lbs offers an attractive balance of power, straightforward technology, included equipment and price. This makes it particularly suitable as a first traditional full-size recurve crossbow.

If you want more performance or additional comfort, you can move up to heavier or more extensively equipped models within the full-size recurve range. This allows you to choose the crossbow that best matches your intended use rather than simply selecting the highest draw weight.
