The EK Archery JAG 1 Deluxe 175 lbs combines the straightforward and proven JAG 1 recurve design with a considerably more complete equipment package. With a 175 lbs draw weight and speeds of up to 220 FPS with a 350 grain bolt, this is the JAG 1 for shooters who want to start with a red dot and practical accessories already included.
The Deluxe comes complete with a 3-dot red dot sight, 3 aluminium 16 inch bolts, 3-bolt quiver, shoulder sling, cocking rope, safety glasses and lube wax. It is therefore particularly attractive if you prefer a fully equipped full-size recurve crossbow rather than selecting the main accessories separately.
The value of the Deluxe is not simply its higher 175 lbs draw weight. Compared with a basic entry-level configuration, it also gives you a much more complete equipment package including a red dot sight, quiver, shoulder sling and an additional bolt. This makes the JAG 1 Deluxe an attractive choice if you want a complete recurve crossbow set without having to select the main accessories separately.
The 175 lbs JAG 1 has a 10 inch power stroke and reaches speeds of up to 220 FPS with a 350 grain bolt. It therefore offers slightly more performance than the 150 lbs JAG 1 while retaining the same straightforward full-size recurve construction.
More draw weight or FPS does not automatically make a crossbow a better choice. Higher draw weight also requires more force when cocking. The included cocking rope helps pull the string back evenly and in a controlled manner.
An important difference of the Deluxe version is the included 3-dot red dot sight. This means you do not first need to select a separate optic to fully equip the crossbow. An adjustable standard sight is also included.
The included 3-bolt quiver keeps the bolts with the crossbow, while the shoulder sling makes the JAG 1 easier to carry. Together with the three aluminium bolts, cocking rope, safety glasses and maintenance wax, this creates a particularly complete set in its price class.
The JAG 1 uses a traditional recurve design without cams and cables, keeping its drive system relatively simple and straightforward. Replacement parts such as strings and limbs are also available for the JAG 1 platform, making the model practical to maintain over time.
The JAG 1 Deluxe comes complete with:
The Deluxe is therefore intended for shooters who want a fully equipped JAG 1 from the start, including a sight, bolts and the main practical accessories.
