The EK Archery Cobra RX Adder 2.0 combines a 7-shot auto-feeding magazine with the integrated underlever cocking system of the Cobra R9/RX family. After each shot, operating the underlever cocks the crossbow again and allows the next bolt to move from the magazine into position, eliminating the need to manually place a new bolt on the rail between shots.
With a 130 lbs draw weight and a factory rating of 240 FPS with a 205-grain bolt, the Adder is not simply about maximum speed. Its main strengths are rapid repeat shooting, relatively easy cocking, modularity and a large ecosystem of compatible parts and upgrades.
The Adder 2.0 stands out through its combination of a 7-shot magazine and integrated underlever. Cock, shoot and cock again without manually loading an individual bolt between every shot.
The Adder is also part of the extensive EK Archery Cobra R9/RX platform. Front ends, strings, sights, grips, rails, cases and various upgrade options make it considerably more expandable than a closed standalone repeater.
Key compromise: the Adder is larger, heavier and more mechanically involved than a compact repeater such as the Sobek. Shooters looking primarily for a simple, lightweight and affordable 7-shot system may prefer the Sobek, while the Adder provides more performance, adjustability and upgrade potential.
The key difference from the original Adder is the Adder Magazine Set 2.0. It holds 7 dedicated carbon crossbow bolts instead of the five-bolt capacity of the original magazine.
During use, cocking the crossbow allows the next bolt to be fed from the magazine into the shooting position. This keeps the shooting rhythm high without requiring an individual bolt to be manually placed between every cycle.
Alongside this Adder 2.0, we also offer the original 5-shot Cobra RX Adder. Both are based on the established 130 lbs RX Adder platform with integrated underlever.
The choice between the two therefore primarily concerns magazine capacity and price, rather than a fundamentally different crossbow platform.
The Adder uses EK Archery's distinctive Integrated Under Lever System. Operating the large lever beneath the crossbow draws the string back into the cocked position.
Lever assistance considerably reduces the physical effort compared with directly drawing a 130 lbs recurve front end by hand. Together with the magazine, this creates one logical cycle: cock, feed the next bolt, aim and shoot again.
The standard recurve front end has a 130 lbs draw weight. EK Archery rates the current RX Adder at 240 FPS with a 205-grain bolt, producing approximately 26.23 ft-lbs / 35.56 J of kinetic energy.
The combination of 130 lbs, relatively short power stroke and lever cocking is deliberately centred around repeat operation. The Adder is therefore not a conventional high-performance crossbow defined mainly by maximum FPS; shooting rhythm, operation and reliable feeding are equally important.
The Adder features an adjustable AR15-style stock. Overall length is approximately 29.6 to 33.2 inches / 75.2 to 84.3 cm, depending on stock adjustment.
This allows the shoulder fit to be adapted to different users. Together with the foregrip, the stock provides a more stable, full-size shooting platform than compact pistol-style repeaters.
Axle-to-axle width is approximately 18.5 inches / 47.0 cm uncocked and 15.5 inches / 39.4 cm cocked.
Manufacturer-listed bow-only weight is approximately 5.2 lbs / 2.36 kg. Magazine, sight, stock and other installed components naturally influence the final ready-to-use weight.
The Adder features EK Archery's Anti-Dry Fire system, designed to help prevent full string release when a suitable bolt is not correctly positioned.
A trigger safety and High-Grade Trigger Assembly are also fitted. These systems are additional safeguards and never replace correct handling, suitable bolts and following the manufacturer's manual.
Another important Cobra-platform feature is Easy Disassembly. The crossbow can be separated into its main components relatively quickly, making transport and storage more practical and reinforcing the modular nature of the R9/RX system.
The Adder is defined by more than its magazine. The broader Cobra R9/RX ecosystem offers numerous possibilities for maintenance, configuration and future upgrades.
Replacement strings and limb tips, sights, grips, cases, different front ends and other Adder upgrades make this an especially interesting platform for users who value modularity and long-term upgradeability.
Both use a 7-shot magazine, but their concepts are very different:
The Sobek therefore wins primarily on simplicity, compactness and price, while the Adder 2.0 is stronger in cocking ease, modularity, ergonomics and upgradeability.
The Adder magazine and feeding system are designed around dedicated 7.5-inch / 19.1 cm Adder carbon bolts. The standard bolt used for the current performance specification weighs approximately 205 grains.
Only use bolts explicitly suitable for the EK Archery Cobra RX Adder magazine. Matching length alone does not make a bolt suitable for a repeating crossbow: nock design, diameter, fletching, point and total weight must also be compatible with the feeding system and crossbow.

Schiet heel goed en veel zijdig omdat je er veel op kan monteren met de 21mm picatinny op de vele plaatsen op de boog deze heeft de 7 schots magazijn inplaats van 5 schots,het is uitpakken en monteren en gelijk schieten ik zelf heb de 90lbs pees erbij gekocht want heb niet veel ruimte en dan gaan de pijlen langer mee kortom zeer blij mee dat ik deze heb gekocht aanrader
Zeer degelijke en kwalitatieve kruisboog. Nauwkeurig en goed te hanteren, monteren en te demonteren.
Ik heb de complete set aangeschaft, heel goede kruisboog schiet heel goed strak, gemakkelijk om te monteren en demonteren, en met de tas helemaal top product, en met het magazijn is helemaal klaar. Zeer aan te bevelen .
Echt een beest van een kruisboog. Vooral met de uitbreidingsmogelijkheden. Ik heb persoonlijk een hawke laser kit en red dot sight erop. Maar er zijn legio mogelijkheden. Schiet zuiver en strak. En met Het magazijn is het helemaal feest.
