The CORE Flyte is a light and durable recurve bow for children and young beginners who want an accessible introduction to real archery. With a bow length of 54 inches and a light 15 lbs draw weight, this version is primarily intended for recreational shooting and learning the first basic shooting movements.
The Flyte uses a simple fibreglass construction without a separate riser and detachable limbs. This makes the bow durable, low-maintenance and easy to use. The set includes two fibreglass arrows, an armguard and a bowstring with integrated finger protection.
At 54 inches / approximately 137 cm, the Flyte is clearly larger than the smallest children's bows while retaining a deliberately light 15 lbs draw weight. This makes it an interesting option for young beginners who have outgrown a very small children's bow but do not yet need a heavier junior bow.
We deliberately do not specify an exact age range. Age is only a guideline; height, arm length, physical strength and draw length also determine whether a bow is suitable for a child.
The CORE Flyte is ambidextrous and can be used by both left- and right-handed archers. This is particularly practical with a first children's bow, as it may not yet be clear which shooting side a child ultimately finds most comfortable.
It is also useful when several children share the same bow, for example within a family, school or archery club.
The set includes two fibreglass arrows and an armguard. The bowstring features integrated finger protection, so a separate finger tab is not immediately required for the first shooting experience.
An archery target is not included. Only use the arrows with a suitable archery target and always provide sufficient clear and safe space behind and around the target.
Despite its light draw weight, the CORE Flyte is a real bow. The supplied arrows have normal target points. These are not razor sharp, but a shot arrow can still cause injury.
Children should therefore always use the bow under adult supervision and shoot only towards a suitable target. Regularly inspect the bow, string and arrows for damage and never use damaged equipment.
The Flyte is particularly interesting if you are looking for an affordable, durable and straightforward first bow for recreational use. The combination of a 54" bow length and just 15 lbs draw weight provides a young archer with a relatively generous bow size without immediately moving to a higher draw weight.
Unlike a traditional take-down recurve bow with a separate riser and detachable limbs, the Flyte deliberately uses a simple fibreglass construction. If you are looking for a more extensively equipped starter set, a smaller bow for a younger child or a more advanced junior bow for developing shooting technique, other models within our junior range may be more suitable.
Please note: age and height are only indicative when selecting a children's or junior bow. Actual suitability also depends on arm length, strength and draw length.
Note: Nocks, fletchings, arrow points and strings are wear parts. Normal wear, loosening or damage to these components during use is not covered by warranty. Regularly inspect arrows and strings for damage and replace damaged components immediately for safe use.
