The Barnett Wildcat CRX combines the straightforward mechanics of a traditional recurve crossbow with the ergonomics and features of a modern crossbow. With a 195 lbs draw weight, speeds of up to 280 FPS with a 380 grain arrow and approximately 66 ft-lbs of kinetic energy, it represents a powerful performance step within the full-size recurve category.
At the same time, the Wildcat CRX remains remarkably compact for a full-size recurve. It measures approximately 33 inches in length and just 25.5 inches wide uncocked. Add ADF, Rope-Hold™, a MIM trigger, Soft-Lok™ arrow retainer, pass-through foregrip and three Picatinny rails and you get a distinctly modern alternative to a conventional entry-level recurve.
Where traditional entry-level recurves mainly excel in simplicity and price, the Wildcat CRX takes a significant step forward. With 280 FPS, 195 lbs, compact dimensions, modern safety features and comprehensive equipment, it delivers substantially more performance without moving to the more complex cam and cable system of a compound crossbow.
Barnett rates the Wildcat CRX at up to 280 FPS with a 380 grain arrow. Combined with its 12.5 inch power stroke, this produces approximately 66 ft-lbs of kinetic energy, putting its performance clearly above many traditional full-size entry-level recurves.
Increased speed and energy also place greater demands on arrows and targets. Always use suitable crossbow arrows of the correct specification and a crossbow target with sufficient stopping power for this performance class.
Despite its 195 lbs draw weight, the Wildcat CRX remains relatively compact. It measures approximately 33 inches / 83.8 cm long and 25.5 inches / 64.8 cm wide uncocked. When cocked, width decreases to approximately 18.4 inches / 46.7 cm.
At approximately 6.1 lbs / 2.77 kg, the CRX combines these compact dimensions with a solid full-size construction. Its lightweight side-mounted quiver also helps keep the overall profile relatively narrow.
One distinctive Barnett feature is the patented Rope-Hold™ technology. It securely holds the cocking rope in position while the hooks are attached to the string, creating a steadier starting point for a smooth and consistent draw.
This is particularly useful with a 195 lbs draw weight. The required rope cocking device is included with the crossbow.
The Wildcat CRX features Barnett's Anti-Dry Fire (ADF) Trigger System, designed to help prevent the crossbow from being fired without an arrow. The Soft-Lok™ Floating Bristle Arrow Retainer securely holds the arrow in position.
A Metal Injection Molded (MIM) trigger, anti-vibration foot stirrup and pass-through foregrip further distinguish the CRX. The foregrip provides a clear position for the supporting hand, while integrated finger safety reminders help keep fingers clear of the string path.
Barnett's soft-touch grip and cheek surfaces add comfort, while three Picatinny rails provide mounting options for compatible accessories.
The Wildcat CRX comes mostly assembled and uses a Quick-Attach Recurve Limb Design. This keeps initial setup straightforward while retaining the mechanical simplicity of a recurve drive system without cams and cables.
The result is a modern crossbow platform that retains one of the key attractions of a recurve: a relatively simple and straightforward power system.
The Wildcat CRX comes comprehensively equipped. Its Premium Red/Green 3-Dot Sight includes a protective neoprene Scope Armour cover. Also included are two 20 inch Barnett HeadHunter carbon arrows, a lightweight side-mounted quiver, rope cocking device and lubrication wax.
This provides a complete setup with a suitable sight, premium carbon arrows and the key accessories required for use and maintenance.

Fijne boog, krachtig voor zijn prijs en degelijk opgebouwd. Prima aankoop al zou er qua set een boogspanner bij kunnen maar die kan je ook los bestellen.
