Delta McKenzie Speedbag 20 – high-performance target for crossbows and compound bows

The Delta McKenzie Speedbag 20 is a robust and versatile bag target that we primarily recommend for crossbows, while also being highly suitable for powerful compound bows. Its generous shooting surface of approximately 51 x 51 cm, high stopping performance and relatively easy arrow removal make the Speedbag 20 particularly suitable for regular practice.

Delta McKenzie developed the Speedbag range for fast crossbows as well as powerful vertical bows. The Speedbag 20 can be shot from both sides and features multiple high-contrast aiming points. Regularly alternating between both sides and the different aiming points helps distribute wear across the target.

Versatile crossbow target – also for compound bows

Within our range, the Speedbag 20 is one of the most versatile crossbow targets. Based on our own long-term sales experience, it has proven to be a good combination with popular compact crossbows and the short bolts used by EK Archery Cobra Adder-type systems, as well as the relatively thin and fast bolts used by X-BOW FMA Supersonic models.

At the same time, the Speedbag 20 is certainly not limited to crossbow use. Its construction also makes it an excellent choice for powerful compound bows. This makes it particularly attractive for shooters looking for one robust bag target for different applications.

Up to 450 FPS – what does this mean in practice?

Delta McKenzie gives the Speedbag 20 a manufacturer rating of up to 450 FPS. This rating should be regarded as a practical product classification rather than an absolute stopping guarantee for every possible bow, crossbow and arrow combination.

Actual penetration is also influenced by factors including arrow weight and diameter, arrow length, point type, shooting distance, impact speed and target condition. Particularly with very short or thin high-speed crossbow bolts, actual penetration may differ from what would be expected based on FPS alone.

Are you using a powerful crossbow or compound bow, short or thin bolts, or unsure which target best suits your setup? See our Target Selection Guide. It explains in more detail which factors influence stopping performance and how to select the right target.

The Speedbag 20 is the most versatile choice for crossbow shooting in our range: a robust and widely applicable target with a generous shooting surface and high stopping performance. Its broad practical versatility makes it the logical all-round target for many crossbow shooters, while it is also highly suitable for powerful compound bows.
